The Faroe Games – July 2021

Archery will be featured at the first ever Faroe Games. It is hosted by the Archery Federation and ISF. This new event compliments the Island Games held every other year.

The Faroe Games will be multi- sport. Full details can be found here.

Archery will be in Suðuroy – Eiðinum Stadium, Vagseiði (this is the southern most island of the Faroes). There will be two separate events for archers. You can do either day or both. Each competition has an entry fee of 200kr.

Thursday July 8 – Training

Friday July 9 —> 720 Recurve & Barebow 50m —> Compound 70m… Qualifications Start 14h followed by Finals 1/4

Saturday July 10 —> 720 Recurve & Barebow 70m —> Compound 50m… Qualifications Start 10h followed by Finals 1/4

The weather will be very predictable… as always. Check here for details. So please bring sunglasses, fog lights, rain gear and a parka. The sheep do like to pretend that they own the roads, therefore extra care must be taking while driving everywhere.

Accommodation: a nearby hotel has been reserved for archers but there are many options available depending on your stay. A campsite is right beside the field.
