Archery for Beginners @IFR Reykjavik, ICELAND

During March 2021, IFR will host archery introductions for absolute beginners. All equipment will be supplied. If you have shot before and are curious about restarting, then the session will be adapted to your level. If you have your own bow, then please bring it.

The indoor archery range will have shooting distances up to 25 meters dedicated for new archers. US Archery Level 2 Coaches will guide you through range safety, bow set up, basic shooting styles, training techniques, competition rules and any other questions that you may have. Instruction will be in English. New archers are also invited to train in Keflavik too.

*** Please note that the Icelandic Weapons Law 16/1998 Art 31 prohibits those under 16 years of age from using bows with force greater than 7kgs. There are no exceptions to this law. Any youth who participates in training will have access to the appropriate equipment, however, those under 12 years old will not be allowed at this time.

The range is fully accessible to wheelchairs and mobility reduced individuals. Everything will be done to accommodate requests from those with special needs.
