Accepting Uncomfortable Changes

There are many expected challenges while moving between countries. It is those unexpected ones which hit you hardest.

Today I needed my shinrin-yoku –> the Japanese version of a forest walk. It was a way to calm and recover from reviewing some training plans made during my last two countries. I was reminded of how much time and effort I had already put into certain locations. More than 100,000 kms of cold snowy roads, crazy hours and crazy client requests. Pictures showing my clients pushing their limits and finding new successes caused some sadness. They were also reminders of some dreams which came true.

The walk helped of course.

BUT then as another file was opened, I got hit with some other documents that focused on the negative side of why some things had to change.

As much as I enjoyed some of my time in some of those places and those clients, I know that those memories will never be repeated. My location is so much different now and I will never coach as I did before. This world has changed too much.

It is good to be reminded of the good stuff sometimes… it really helps to heal from the bad.
