Overall, this competition was emotional for me. After four hours of driving, my nerves were shot before I even picked up my bow… but I was still able to have some very nice ends.

Every competition is a little different. I learn things that I just do not see during normal training. Towards the end, I actually figured out something wrong with my my finger tab position on the string. This issue had never come up before so I do not know if it was new or just something I had never noticed previously.
I did a couple of nice 30s and very many 29s that were sooooo close!
The reds were there too. One was a distraction just before my clicker went –> someone had hit the wall which made me flinch. No worries… things like this happen especially in smaller competitions when every noise can be heard.
I am not sure why my last end was so low as the shots themselves felt really good. Fatigue may have been a factor and upon reflection, I do not think I drank enough non-coffee beverages during the day 😉
ESMs –> 87 and 87 which I am very happy about!
This was the first competition of three done in four days during the XMAS Challenge…
