Back in 1996, I embraced the concept of minimalism although I did not realize at the time. I was travelling through Prague and my suitcase broke. It meant carrying all my stuff along those beautiful cobble-stoned streets on the way to my destination. All those steps challenged my notion of what I actually needed in my life.
I have lived in many places and moved between countries quite a few times. Climate has made a lot of decisions for me. But one thing has become perfectly clear –> in regards to stuff, less is more.

This book has become a huge success around the world so it is not just a Western pop-culture fad.
Consumerism promotes continual replacement of stuff by showcasing shiny objects of lesser value. We have too much consumption. All that clutter gets in the way of living.
Take an Inventory of what you have.
- Choose quality over quantity in your stuff.
- Choose to have stuff that you love.
- Let go of the stuff that you no longer need.
